Does anyone know how I can list a website into a search engine, what are the requirements regarding key words that will point to the website from the search engine?

Thanks

Ahhhh...submit your site to google possibly?
I do not understand the simplicity of your question.
If you are asking what you have to do with your keywords for the search engine to know what you are optimising for then fill in all your meta tags at the top of your html coding. But as far as the engines are concerned, I submitted to google and msn and now the company dominates for it's keywords in nearly all the engines except for Ink and MSN.
Could you maybe evaluate your question so I could give a better answer?

The best thing to do is to lock yourself in a room and spend a few weeks reading this forum, then you'll be as smart as Brett, well maybe not that smart

well, let me see if I can clarify the question:

I work in a small business development center and I was asked to do a research on what a website needs to have in order to be listed on search engines. Some of our clients want to have their websites listed on search engines, and they wanted to know what words should they use so that when people do a search on the products that they offer, they are directed to their website, or something along those guidelines.
I hope this is better. Please fill me in on this
thanks
