Question about MSN Search Engine

Hello,

Can someone tell me if the search engine for MSN is powered by Google? I updated my website for the April Google crawl a few months ago. Because of all the changes with the Google Update none of these changes are showing up in Google. In fact, MSN is now my top referrer. I'm wondering if MSN will eventually start showing the same results as Google. If this happens my site will get very few hits.

Thanks for the comments!

no, msn does not use google.

To the best of my knowledge, anyone using google includes a 'powered by' or 'enhanced by' statement and a google logo.

I think it's looksmart that supplies the bulk of MSN, but hey, I've been wrong before, so don't bet the farm on my opinion.

Hi palmpal,

MSN feeds from external 3 sources (plus internal promotion for the big players) :

Overture
Looksmart
Inktomi
