Hi, I have been tyring to promote my site for almost a year and it seems like no matter what I do I do not come up in the search results . I have very low PR which fluctuates from month to month. About 3 months ago I asked for recipriocal links and have about 20 people with PR5 or more who have linked to me. I change the content on my home page often and have another website which I created 4 years ago with a PR8 and comes up #1 in over 900 keywords or phrases. I am really frustrated and do not understand. Any advise? Thank You

Maybe you are not optimizing your site properly (with all code parameters) or using highly competitive or irrelevant keyword terms.

Remember, PageRank is a mutiplier effect for ranking. Which is to say (to oversimplify) - Relevance X PageRank = Ranking.

If you have very low keyword relevance, even a PR9 site will not show up (vice versa is also true)

I guess you need to study WebmasterWorld for best ways to optimize your site code.
