My site went live on April 15th. So far, my main page has been picked up by many engines, but the rest of the pages have not shown up yet. When should I expect the search engines (google, altavista, etc.) to begin indexing my other pages?

Erik, welcom to the board.
It's a good sign the engines have already picked up your homepage.
Google has over the last years been the most reliable indexer, I'd expect them to pick up your pages over the next 4-8 weeks. With a bit of luck freshbot temporarily indexes them even earlier, so watch out for the bot in your logs. it should be said though that Google is in a period of transition right now, so nobody knows for sure.

With the other major engines it's rather a wait and see game. You have the option with Altavista, INKT, and Fast, to buy your way in via PFI.

Most of the SE's index your home page (submitted page) on their first visit. They usually deep index your site on subsequent runs.

If you have even one page indexed in the SE and there are links to your other site pages from that page, have patience (lots of it actually) and your site will be deep indexed by that SE in future.
