I'm a small web developer, and I'm looking for a search engine optimization company that I can parter with. Can anybody make some recommendations of some companies that are good, and can guarantee results?

May I suggest placing advert in:Commercial Exchange Forum [webmasterworld.com]

You will probably get a lot more response, and also not be breaking the TOS of Webmasterworld.

alternatively take a look at SEOconsultants .com for a list of reputable companies who you can contact direct.

Also keep your terms clear with the partner if they are allowed to talk with your client directly or will they remain transparent. If you want to tell the client that the SEO work is yours, you need to make this clear to the SEO company. Also be clear that whether you want to allow the SEO company to place a link to their site on your client site pages.

Some of your clients may require you to declare if the SEO work is being done by you or is it being sub-contracted. Be open about it. One cannot expect every web developer to have top-class SEO skills as well.
