Current Thoughts On Frequency of Submissions

What is the latest view on frequency of submissions

I carried out a site search on Webmaster World but couldn't find an up to date message about frequency of submission to Search Engines. I did find a lot of conflicting thoughts from folks posted over the last 2 -3 years.

What are the current thoughts? Should you submit or wait for the spiders? How frequently? etc.

In reality if you can get links there is no need to submit at all.

If you have some obscure pages that have no links to them in your site you can submit those although if there are no links to those pages it would be interesting to know what is on them.

I never submit anything anymore even if it is a brand new domain name. Just get links and you will get spidered very quickly.
