Hi. We are about ready to launch our new comapny website. It is a new domain (Company changed name after going limited) with all new content and we are taking down our old site. My question is because there was a lot of content on the old site and we really don't have the time to work it into the new site, we thought we might create a company archive in a directory under the new domain and put the old site in there and just remove any links that contain the full string. That way we get to give visitors more content without spending a long time repuposing the old data. Is this a good or bad idea? Thank you.

Actually, that sounds like a great way to keep an old site 'usable' for people that might have liked it, and add to the variety offered by your up to date site.

In fact, I might try this next time I 'upgrade' something. Thanks!
