Redirect = spam?

Hello everyone,

I’m kinda worried about this; my provider gave me an ugly long url, an for that reason I bought a domain name, to have a nice and short url. Visiters to that domain/url will be redirected (“webforward”) to the ugly long url were my site is actually hosted. So far so good.

But…

I want or submit my nice short url to search engines. But I am afraid that the search engines consider this spam because it is a kind of redirect.

Is that so? And if it is, what should I do about it?

Thers no point in submitting the short one, you'll have to use the one were the site is
