Upper case, Lower case?

Just wondering if it matters to google or other search engines if you search upper or lower case? even if you have them in quotes?

In my experience, it does not matter.

If you have specific search phrases in mind, try various searches in lowercase and uppercase (or mixed) just to make sure.

Capitalization

Google searches are NOT case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for "george washington", "George Washington", and "gEoRgE wAsHiNgToN" will all return the same results.
