Just heard abbout the new domain ending of .ws (website)
Is this going to take off?

.ws has been around for several years now and has being marketed as standing for "world site". The extension itself is from Western Samoa and yes, I did have to purchase one at the request of my Boss.:(

The extension itself isn't really worth its salt IMHO - there's no consumer recognition and the initial registration was quite expensive. If you're in the market for a domain, I'd certainly recommend you to stick with extensions that carry some consumer recognition such as .com and even .biz.

If your preferred domain name isn't available as one of these, that might be a different matter. I'd honestly recommend you to steer clear though.
