How many commercial websites are out there

Hi, I am trying to find a number, which would give an estimation on how many working websites are outthere for commercial use, which means not web site of private people.

Your question is hard to answer and I guess that's why nobody chimed in yet. You see, desiding if a dot-com is commercial or not can be difficult if you don't visit the site. I know of a bunch of dot-coms that are not commercial. I also know of a bunch of dot-orgs that are very commercial. Really difficult, however we had a few good discussions in the European Forum a while back:
