Newbie, Welcome to WebmasterWorld -- Hope your here to stay ;) I've never seen it or heard of this one before. I am in Irvine, Ca not far from Santa Monica but I don't know if its something I'll make it to. Is this the first event for this?

No robots.txt file, no PR. Doesnt even show up at the top of the search engines for that term, only a adword displayed. April 4, 2003 but only 4 hours? Just something to get businesses in the area to use ppc programs?

Hey EliteWeb,

This has been kind of on the DL as most entertainment-related events are, but this release did go out a couple days ago:
[biz.yahoo.com...]

Newbie - you must have done a search for "search engine conference" to find this one. Good eyes!

EliteWeb, the focus of this event is on Search Engine Marketing in the Entertainment space - with an emphasis on the Marketing. This is going to be a very educational event with presentations and case studies from both Marketers who have experience with these campaigns as well as from the engines themselves.

AS SingingFish demonstrated at Search Engine Strategies in Boston, there are some exciting opportunities in this space for both companies that have properties to market and the marketers with search engine experience. Hope to see you there!
