This page is not sponsored by Google, affiliated with Google and will probably get me in trouble.

Ah, come on people, Google has an army of lawyers already, as well as the world's largest index of what's happening on the web, no need to help them hunting down people, right?

Looks like some people will do ANYTHING to make a name for themselves... even if it's a BAD name.

It's actually a cool site. If people have a problem with that, perhaps they don't remember that DMOZ started with the name NewHoo and the same layout as another, bigger 'hoo.

maybe it is the graffiti across a trademarked graphic, I must be getting old because this is so obnoxious I wouldn't even consider doing a search there

and there is this:

"A Note About Roogle

There are a couple of things to understand here:

1.This was built as a technology experiment (or because it was snowing and I was stuck at home). Now that there's interest, it'll become much more real.
2.The final name is clearly very unlikely to be Roogle. I'm in the process of "de-rooglizing" the look and feel presently.
3.I appreciate your patience and interest.

reminds me of a certain crayon ... crapola

Scratch that I visited the guys site again, and he is indeed changing it ... though I still think Google should banish it into oblivion just on principles.

I doubt it will be shutdown. Google is looking the other way on these tools lately. I could name a dozen link pop checkers alone that needed to be shut down. They seem to pick and choose the ones to hit and not hit.

Besides, it's a pretty unique tool.
