Im new here, so dont flame me if this is in the wrong forum. :) Do you guys recommend purchasing this service? They would just go through your meta tags, title tags, etc and better optimize it for the search engines. The average price Ive seen for this is like $50. Or is there a better less expensive way? I used webposition and used the analizer and got 56% after some modifications, but couldnt get any higher. What do you receommend?

Thanks,
Shawn

Stick around read some threads here and then call them up and charge them $100 :)

I am being serious, this board has everything that you need to do it all yourself.

welcome to webmasterworld.

we try and keep away from recommending any software to do a job which is "crucial" for your online marketing strategy.

also the fact that most of the producers of software actually pick up a lot of ideas used by "individuals" posting on webmasterworld.

save your $50, read through various forums here, and you will look back in delight.

good luck, and welcome to the dark side :)

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Shawn.

First off, no flaming to be had around here, that's one of the best things about WebmasterWorld, just a lot of professionals exchanging ideas and everybodies opinion counts.

Your best bet to find answers about Meta Tags is to use the Site Search [searchengineworld.com] feature.

Here's one of the threads I pulled up on Meta Tags [webmasterworld.com], it might help.

Take a look around here, you'll find all the answers you need. Then take that $50.00 you saved and buy yourself something nice.

Hi Shawn and welcome to WebMasterWorld!
My advice is avoid the 50-bucks-meta-tag-optimizers....
Meta Tags are not only old fashioned unless unsefull nowdays (except for Inktomi).
I would also advice against the use of WPG and all that stuff. Keyword Density is not so important now. The hot ways to do SEO are going through other paths. Read this forums daily and you will be a decent SEOptimizer in three months.
