I would like any advice how to get these into search engines faster, we produce 100 articles a year but the one negative article about the company from 4 years ago shows up right next to our main listing?
the negative article is bogus but seems to get all teh traffic the 3rd party rebutle is 3 pages deep
So our current situation is "flase stories" get a better (pr) than our ongoing news articles
we related keywords in each article
is there some palce that we can submit the story weekly or are we just out of luck

2. also register with blog aggreegators that sometomes also crawl RSS news feeds.. eh blogdex, daypop etc etc.. more every day
3. se's do crawl the above sites quite a lot.
4. Ask news.google to review your site for inclusion in news.google. There is an email address to use in their "about/FAQ" pages.
5. If they are magazine type articles try submitting to magportal.
6. PAY Moreover to include your items. (Not recommended for small sites with limited items and budgets!)
7.Get a high pr to link to your page or have a high pr and change the page daily or so and google will crawl all your new new stories daily.
That should do it... I know they are not all direct ways to get into SE main databases, but SE's do crawl all these types of sites quote a lot and there is a lot of viral marketing.. people using your rss on their sites, people using js to display your headlines etc. It all helps
But try to do more than one a week for these guys to take you seriously and make it high quality.
