Hi Everyone,

In my sit surfing I am constantly running into affiliate programs. Any one here had experience with this strategy?
As a consultant my client is looking for ways to promote his web site. I am developing reciprocal linking relationships, but wonder of I should pursue marketing an affiliate program. Also should I also look into paid alliance programs?

Affiliate marketing is cool in that you only have to pay for results. If your affiliates sell the product you get paid and they get paid - if they don't sell it doesn't cost you anything. There are lots of folks here that are professional affilate marketers - all we do is work affiliate programs and sell product. There is very good money to be had if it's done right.

Have a read through Advertising Sales and Affiliate Programs [webmasterworld.com]. There are lost of good discussions there about affiliate programs from both sides.
