Is length of title important for keyword relevancy inside the title?

So would it be better to put a lot of keywords in the title or should I better choose just one or two important words?

Thanks for your help,
Mathias

Hi and Welcome to Webmasterworld

at the end of the day, the CRUCIAL thing is that The Title should be RELEVANT to the user searching.

in standard serps, that is 1 of the most important factors in getting a CLICK, which is the whole point if you are trying to rank high (no point being #1 if no one clicks)

Your main Keyword in title always helps, but try and make it relevant, rather than creating "Keyword, Buy, Keyword, Find Keyword, Cheap Keyword"

as for the length, I try and keep UNDER 50 characters (including spaces)

Shakil's right.

Having said that, I still try to keep Titles down to <=12 words.

I usually keep mine to under 70 Chars, google seems to truncate after 68-72, as mentioned there is no point having a keyword rich title that no-one clicks on.
