I am trying to find out how you work out the PR levels for listed websites, for each of the search engines...what is the best way?

Also, my web host at the moment does not support site "logs" - (at least not on the scheme I have). Is there a thrid-party internet based / software based system I can use for logging Website visits?

get the google toolbar. it will tell you what the PR of a site is. You can get it at [toolbar.google.com...]

If you are trying to find out referring sites, and thus search terms people are using to find you, there are third party sites that can help with that. is one of them. While its not wonderful, it will do what you are asking.

(If im not supposed to post url's like this, please let me know. I believe the rules to just be in regards to my own urls)

As deft says, the Google toolbar will help you check PR (and also the sites that are linking to you that have been indexed and are above PR4).

Best bet to track your site is to get a nice stats package! :)

Deft, Google toolbar URL should be fine, but i dont know about the other (no service promotion period, i think - not sure though - could be wrong!). :)

"but i dont know about the other (no service promotion period, i think - not sure though - could be wrong!). "...

Just refering to deft's comment about posting URLs on the forum.

Im not sure if putting the Extreme URL was against TOS or not. But its still here, so obviously not. :)

It was late - I wasnt making much sense! :)

Guess it was TOS'd. Just do a search for stat tracking and youll find some that will help with your problem.

sorry TOS'r.
