i got an email forward from a client about this site called topsites.us. it looks like a legit SE and it requires $5 a month for submission. the thing is, it looks like all my client's competitors have already signed up with them. so, has anyone else heard of these guys? and two, is this worth it ($60 for a year)?

Their top level page has a PR of 4, vs 6 for both GoGuides and JoeAnt. So they seem to be very minor players currently.

I got the same email for one of my sites and ditched it immediately when I read word "renew". Renew? How can I renew something when I never applied for in the first place?
Besides, if you have a look at the site you will see it is an ODP clone which means everyone got in for free anyway. We have seen these type of things before.
