My personal belief is that it is not the best way to do the SEO...we should add relevant content to the actual page but the client does not want to mess up the look of the page. I am considering suggesting that we add one or two appropriate sentences towards the bottom of the page in small, visible text which I have also seen on several websites.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I am trying to find out if it is okay to include a pop-up box (which looks like alternative text) with a small keyword phrase-optimized (not stuffed) description of the company over part of one of the graphics?
But I can tell that your second option works fine.
If your customers let you
1. add a pair of divs with optimized text (remember H tags, bold, link and all that stuff)
2. including your main KW and
3. placed at the beguining of the code (after the body tag)
4. using css to define the real position of the divs and the size of the text (always keep it visible to humans) and
==>you will get your rankings (of course, you also have to take care about the rest of important aspects in SEO but on-page factors are quite important).
Good luck!
