I've optimized my web page for SE. Now I'm going to submit it. So what results should I expect during first week after submitting?

The short answer is 'nothing much'. I report first stable results after 4 months of activity. Google might grab your pages and show them for a few days, then dropping them for the rest of the month.

You wont get good results before all your directory listings weight in as a link popularity factor. Some take up to 12 weeks before listing your site, and sometimes a little more.

On the other hand, if you use the Pay Per Click and Express Payd Submissions route (where available) will have faster results.
