Hi All,

One of my clients asked me "Is there any good example that SEO generate real money, especially in Finance, Banking, Credit Card, Insurance field?"...

Unfortunately, my experience in SEO is very short so I have no idea about it...

Could anybody let me know the good sample?
Of cource, it would be OK to hide real company name.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Trefoil and welcome to Webmaster World [webmasterworld.com].

I did a check on Wordtracker.com to find the most searched keyword in the fields you discussed. Anyway it is estimated that there are roughly 13,000 searches conducted for insurance quotes each day on the Internet. So If you want to see some companies that benefit from SEO then go to the search engines and search for insurance quotes. I would guess that there you would find a number of companies that are benefiting from SEO.

I know that my comments are not exactly what you were looking for but I thought you might find them at least somewhat interesting. Be careful if you mention this example to your client because they might start to get unrealistic expectations.:)

A good rule of thumb for the question..

If you search Yahoo for any keywords related to your question, and see those words in domain names, there's money in it.

And you can probably estimate how lucrative it could be by the number of domains...

Not that it's easy money however....

Hello Trefoil.

Simple looks on google results for a "competitive term" and you'll see a lot of companies' websites and find one sponsored link ... how do you think why they paid for first position?:)
