If i were to have the keyword phrase "Fluffy Wool Socks" on a web page, and had that phrase in the title/keywords meta - would an SE see both Fluffy Wool and Wool Socks, or even Fluffy Socks as well...?

just need to get that strait, as im trying to perfect titles for my most recent site (nothing to do with fluffy socks!)

Yes, search engines will recognize combinations such those you mentioned. I have a PR5 page that ranks #1 in Google and Wisenut for "fluffy wool socks", and #1 in both for "wool socks". It's #1 in Google and #5 in Wisenut for "fluffy wool", and #4 in Google and #1 at Wisenut for "fluffy socks".

Google sends more traffic in an hour than Wisenut does in a week.

what sort of weirdo has a site about fluffy wool socks! :P

your last comment was very interesting, though not too surprising...it would be great to see comparisons between the no. 1 spots in the different engines and the traffic they bring in...

how does your yahoo traffic compare to google, - i have found yahoo to be great for a consistant medium stream of hits...google tends to very a fair bit...

but thanks for the info - it does help alot...
