filenames and search engines

Hi,

Im just curious as to whether or not Filenames affect how search enignes perform on your site?

i.e. long filenames V's short filenames? Filenames relevant to the page V's Filenames that are nothing really to do with the page.

Any comments?

I think about it like this:
If it helps me identifying what the page is about, then it might also help the engines to understand what the page is about.
Very much like with page structuring with <h>, <b>, etc.

It won't hurt to let filenames reflect the keywords.
