Link with url in single quote

Will SEs be able to find it.

Hello, I wonder whether SEs be able to find a link with it's url covered by single quote sign, example: <a href='http://....'>

I have found that the SimSpider tool could not find these links on my page. Should I change it to double quote <a href="http://...">

A double quote is preferable, however, a single quote does work (with only exceptions to very small search engines that generates no traffic anyway).
