Filenames in indexing algorthms?

In your experience with search engines, have you heard of any that include filenames in their indexing algorthms?

For example, a search engine could read customer_care but not customercare.

Yes, most of the spidering engines give weight to the filename. However, it doesn't appear to be working as well today as it did last year. Alta used to be very easy to manipulate with a filename or domain name - that isn't the case any longer.
