I am hoping someone can help me! I am approaching the different search engines about purchasing sponsored text links (ex. coming up as the "first" search result by paying for that listing). When I called AOL Search (it took me forever to get through), they said they only sell banner ads, and that all of the search results are from a 3rd party.
Does anyone know who I should call to buy Sponsored Links on AOL Search? I believe AOL's search results come from Inktomi and Open Directory Project, but neither of these seem to sell advertising -- they just seem to be a database of the free listings.
