Well, for starters, have you submitted it to Google?

if your site is a .org (well - non-profit), you might be able to get a free yahoo listing. Click on "suggest a site" in the appropriate category

You may also want to look at Zeal also, which provides results in Looksmart / MSN

Rita - I believe on another thread you said your site was a Flash site. If it is, that may be the problem. I've seen Flash sites that wouldn't load at all on many systems with dial-up connections.
