Can anyone tell me the going rate for SEO work when considering it being a semi nation wide insurance company that wants to pay per valid online quote given. I know its really competitive, not out of reach that is. But yeah whats the going rate, Im not trying to make anyone rich and get took in the process. This guy tried quoting me .25 a lead(information sheet filled out) I think that is blasphemy knowing abilities experience and expertise but why dont someone let me know if Im crazy...

Why don't you contact the top ten or twenty insurance companies online and ask them about affiliate programs - I bet they're paying more than .25/application filled out.

Or you can go to Overture and see what insurance companies are willing to pay just to have a person click through to their site.

.25 per completed information sheet is an incredible deal. Many firms charge in the .50-.75 range per-click.

25c for a information sheet filled out is great value.

dstanovic,
What was that you said...think it got cut out; email me at mlovelady@computermail.net

As for the rest of the comments I get a blurred response probably because my question wasn't clear.

Are you saying that .75 is incredible because I should be getting more. I mean should I expect more or is that the best Im looking at.

I checked overture it is about a buck a click state specific almost four bucks root terms.

Now I have no doubt in my mind that can't bring this company traffic but I, like I said don't want to get took for my services for chump change.

Thanks Again,

Consumer_Info,

I had stated there was no-way I would perform services for a pay scale such as this (.25). Plus there are too-many ways they could get out even paying you that. I think you could do better as a telemarketer for the company at $10.00 hr. plus commission :)

You can also sign in to a few of the major affiliate sites - no charge or obligation - to do some research, to see what's being offered with affiliate programs. The companies are paying for participation in those programs, so the percentages will probably be less than what you should be getting.

Another factor if you're doing the SEO for their site is that you're doing beyond what affiliates do, and a lot can depend on their content and approach how many signups for quotes there would be.

>about a buck a click
That's just clicks - not signups.

Any chance for a fee plus percentage or per-quote in addition?
