One of the good (ironic) ways is to get a ranking in the top 3.

You will find when people make new sites and "links" pages and the likes - they use the top 3/10/20 SERP's in Google/Yahoo/Dmoz such like

I've noticed this with new link pop....and people offering countless similar pages with the same sites (maybe this is why some of the older ones rank so high).
