i just launched a new version of a site...but did not change the URL. do I need to resubmit the url to yahoo? or make some changes of some sort? and what about google? will it automatically index my new site and content and delete the old one? when i search for my site on google, i find links to pages from my old site (which of course do not exist).

i'm rather ignorant...maybe someone could give me an idea of the best way to proceed after doing a site overhaul.

thanks a bunch.

After redoing the site with optimization techniques, it is best to resubmit the pages that you have optimized. If you can, notify the directories of the changes, although most will probably charge you for any changes that you want to make (depends on the directory). Google will pick up the new changes, you just need to wait for an update. Try grabbing some new links from within the Google database. Treat the new version of the site as if it is really is a new site.
