Finding soon to expire domains

Is there a free way of doing this?

I notice there are a lot of tools around that check for expired domains that still have listings in Yahoo.

Is there a free way of doing this?

Well, there are also some free lists floating around. (use Google, and dig on the title to this post)

netsol (or network solutions) offers 10 free snapshots.

You can always use the good old WHOIS utility available everywhere.

I subscribe to [biznizsource.com...]
I have forgotten the price but as I recall it was fairly steep.
It's not really worth the money because 99% of the expired sites are political campaigns, religious sites, city government stuff and other worthless sites.
It is very rare when a jewelry store or something like that comes along and then you have to be lightening quick in registering the domain or lose out.
I have had the service for 2 months now and do not plan on renewing.

This may not help, but [godaddy.com...] will keep you posted on domain names you're interested in and let you know when they're about to expire. It's free.

hmm, missed that 'in yahoo' part - you'd have check the list against yahoo - it would take awhile.
