When I go to Google and do a search on(example):
link:www.domain.com
I get results that say "1-10 of 100". Meaning I have 100 pages linking back to www.domain.com
But when I click through and try to view all those page url's, it will only let me view about 40 of them.

Anyone know the reason for this?

Someone correct me here, but I think that happens when Google decides the other links are not worth showing. I think they do this when the link page has a low or no page rank.

There's an assumption of exclusion of lower Page Rank links but I was just told (from a reliable source) that it's not, that it's based on directory depth.

Either way, they show those they consider the most relevant. Some people are seeing exactly half the number showing.
