A) a heavy content site which uses a number of affiliates and
B)a site which is very simple, perhaps with very little content but geared toward pushing traffic to affiliates.
I'm not asking for any trade secrets here. I just want to see with my own eyes what are considered to be effective (i.e. likely moneymaking) examples of each. Thank you!
I use Commission Junction and adsense on my sites.
Adsense is very, very successful (their T&C's prevent me from saying how well but I am more than happy!).
After 3 months I'm still waiting for a single purchase through CJ even though I've had over 60k impressions.
Also:
If you build a site which is only affiliate based there is a good chance the SE's will not index it (As I've just discovered to my cost). If you want the site to work make sure it isn't just links to aff. web sites.
I hope that helps.
Simon.
I just mean can someone point me to (example)Bighugecompany.com that no one here has anything to do with, and tell me what is good about their layout and use of affiliates. Or to some other smaller site that they have stumbled onto while they browsed that they felt was effective in how they seem to use affiliates.
...Sometimes it is easier to just look at an example than to have things explained to you in detail...
Thank you for your input!
