SEO recommendations for FAST

What are the main guidlines for good listings in FAST. My google rank is excellent but in FAST non existant.

why do you need fast?
i live in austria, and everyone says in this forum that fast is very important for europe - but i can tell you, forget fast (at the moment at least). i have a series of TOP keywords ranking in fast very well, but nearly no traffic from tiscali, lycos, alltheweb, t-online and the other fast partners.

fast is a GREAT search engine imo but they don't have the big partner yet.

What about ALTAVIST? Its the same deal with them... who do they use... I get lost of which spider is for what these days?

leef50, if i remember correctly, av's spider is scooter!

Fast: hmmm ... i'm in the same position like you - doing grreat at google but poor at fast. I have quite no clue except some speculations [webmasterworld.com].

AV: i'm doing quite fine there ... not as good as at google but the results / algo seems more googlish than fast's.

it's scooter, but forget altavista. their search engine is ridiculous compared to fast and google. and no one uses is it.

You never know, you may wake up one morning and discover that Fast have a tie up and are suddenly very important.

Over the years, I have learnt to cover off all eventualities and in that way you are never caught unawares!

HuhuFruFru, i wouldn't argue too ultimatively ...

There are soooo many different keywords, phrases, markets, optimization techniques ... some produce teribble good results here and very bad results there ... others the oposite.

Unfortunately I do not have any inside knowledge ;)

However as I say, this is a fast moving business, and last months Cinderella can suddenly be transformed into a princess (or just as likely a down and out)

I agree with you that European traffic from Fast and its derivatives is small. But it is a good Search Engine, as say Gigablast is also becoming.

You or I are unlikely to have any influence on what becomes of them, but we can ensure that we are well positioned on all of them.

Happily I have single keyword first page Serps on both the above...just in case

yes, as i said, fast is a great search engine and i was recently thinking about investing in fast, shares are very cheap at the moment.

FAST indexes Webmasterworld pages faster than Google :)

Googlebot refuses to index a large chunk of my site due to overly-long variables in some URLs. Fast is the only engine that has my entire site indexed. Unfortunately it's almost impossible to find my site in a Fast SERP and I get zero traffic from them.
