(It's definitely slower than Google and I think they don't do much if you don't submit your site.)

If you have inbound links it will be picked up within 2 months, sometimes faster, they sometimes only start with indexing the index page.
If you're in DMOZ that should do it.

Watching it myself, Martin. Did a free submit 3 weeks ago, got an ODP listing at the same time.
I doubt the free submit has any great effect, but it doesn't hurt.

But I've had inbound links (6-7 from PR6+) for around 5 months.

PR doesn't matter with FAST ;-)
Do you get spidered?
It looks to me that none of the f2o pages are indexed (found one user who got his/hers pages indexed, to see use advanced search and restrict to f2o.org only).

It took 4 months after my odp listing for fast to show up. Free submit and great inbounds in the index didn't do it. I am not in the index yet but I am being spidered pretty heavily. It takes time. I think the odp link is crucial for fast.
