I have a whole load of sites on AlltheWeb, some are doing well others not so good.

BUT none of them have taken up the paid submission service.

If you already have a site on AlltheWeb and you then take up the paid submission, do you get better rankings or the same that you already have. Or even worse like on AV they can even drop.

What is everyone's experience on this one.

They certainly don't drop your excisting pages if you use paid inclusion. Think about it, it would be very unwise of them.

Paid inclusion gives you nothing more than fast and regular spidering of your pages. You don't receive better rankings.
It's still about good old optimisation and unique content.

Many thanks for this.

So if you are already on AlltheWeb is it worth using the paid submissions.

Will the site get spidered more often than it currently does.

ILoyd - you have a clear cut deal with Lycos when doing ATW PFI.
You pay per url, that is - per page, not per site.
So if you pay for say 3 pages of a site, those three pages get spidered and refreshed each 24-48 hours.

That's it. No ranking advantages.

In fact I'd not neccessarily pay for sites which do well. Pages from sites doing not so great might be worth a shot.
