FAST really still seems like a distant second to Google as far as pure quality of serps IMO, but it certainly would be good to get a nice bit of competition out there.

Personally, I really wish that FAST would replace LookSmart and Inktomi with MSN (even though FAST wouldn't fill the directory niche -- what about About.com for the MSN directory portion??).

A mixture of Overture, FAST, MSN Editor picks,(About.com if it were a good enough directory) and DirectHit(Teoma) could be an interesting MSN scenario IMO.

They have gotten so much better in the last six months-year though. When they started cross checking stuff with the ODP is was a pretty dramatic turn around.

I find that if I use just a couple more keywords when searching, the results are pretty accurate.
