Altavista & Lycos relationship

I recently paid for Lycos insite service, before this I used to have first position in Altavista, but right now my website description was deleted from Altavista Could somebody please tell me What happened?

I really appreciate your help on this question.

There is no connection between Lycos and Altavista, what has happened is a coincidence OR something else has changed.

Altavista uses your <meta> description. Is your listing still there?

Lycos uses FAST (alltheweb).

Both are spider based but uses different spiders and different databases.
