It is a mistery!

Probably that address doesn't work only in Italy.

I can connect to all local Lycos but NOT to Lycos USA.

For example from Lycos.it, if I click to Lycos USA (Inglese), I get a 404:

Been getting a lot of DNS errors from the Lycos network in the last couple of weeks.
