Why am I getting asked if I want to accept a cookie from Lycos on Alltheweb.com?

Have I missed something?

Not sure, couldnīt reproduce this, but havenīt deleted all old cookies.
Lycos anyhow provides the ads shown on Alltheweb, I suppose that's why.

Down at the bottom of the home page, there is a 1pix by 1pix graphic counter.
<img src="http://lubid.lycos.com/one.asp?site=all_the_web&ord=4758474" height=1 width=1 alt="">

That graphic is setting a cookie.

So...is it just an ad? Or is Lycos in bed with AllTheWeb?

Lycos Group has early on invested a bit in Fast, as has Dell BTW. If I remember correctly Lycos has a seat On Fast's board of directors.

As discussed here
http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum4/276.htm [webmasterworld.com] Lycos network provides the ads run on Alltheweb. Many of which are ads for Lycos properties.
Furthermore Lycos will act as reseller for Fast's PFI programme.
The Lycos Group is Fast's most important partner for their websearch divison.
