fast optimisation basics

Ok, I have to admit it - I feel pretty lost about fast, in fact pretty lost about the basic important areas for fast optimisation.

Any one kind enough to volunteer what they think is basically needed????

Good basic HTML - Fast doesn't seem to like anything they think is spamming.

Keyword promotion especially keywords in Title

They also try to remove anyone considered to be cloaking
