Lycos frame?

When did Lycos start using a frame for click-throughs? That bites.

Lycos UK is still OK.

It can't last long. I am sure most punters hate that kind of intrusion (or do they?) Hopefully their stats will nosedive and the frames will go.

Shame, I have a good run of top tens with Lycos.

tried to get the frame, and it didn't work. I saw it on some other sites in lycos, though. You didn't happen to already put some frame busting script on the page?

I think they might have already wised up, though. I mean, about/ask bad enough, but lycos shouldn't and doesn't need to frame sites.

For those of us on dial-up, it really slows down their site too.

The one that gets me is the Altavista click through. I get real slow response out of that, and the Fast/alltheweb one is also getting slower. Yahoo's and Hotbot/lycos are pretty fast (without the framing).

I've been away so can't tell when the change was made, but Lycos isn't framing sites... at least not for the last two days. I did complain... got back completely irrelevant machine generated replies... but maybe someone did read and listen.

Incidentally, Fast and Lycos have also updated during this same period. I noticed a new listing on 5/19 for a site whose ODP listing I submitted on 4/20. This one-month interval is roughly consistent with the last set of listings I've gotten on Fast/Lycos.
