Under the terms of the deal, Ericsson will sell FAST Mobile Search and FAST Web Search to mobile operators and ISPs as part of the WISE solution, a complete end-to-end solution to create, develop and operate a mobile portal. FAST will provide Ericsson with its search technology while Ericsson manages sales, marketing, customer account management, and systems integration. Ericsson, whose equipment handle 40% of mobile calls worldwide, and has 65% of the mobile infrastructure market, will also promote FAST's technology solutions through its reference portal.
