Terra Lycos wants to get bigger

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) - Terra Lycos said Monday it will use its $2.4 billion in cash to buy other companies, especially outside of the United States.

Most likely from the parent company Telefonica. Telefonica runs a huge telecom corp. that hardly re-invests or makes service upgrades in the countries they provide in. Most of the money they make in these countries is set right back to Spain. In many spanish speaking countries it's either them or France's Telecom. So you can see how large of a coverage area they have.

Just to give you an idea on one part, most of the areas they provide for charge as much as $.05 per minute local calls.
