Getting knocked off FAST and their partners

Ok. I was listed really well in Alltheweb.com before they did a re-index of their results last month. When they did the re-index they bumped me down to the 21st postion under various keywords.

Yet, I was listed in the same top spots in their partners' indexes as I was in FAST's old index. Meaning, they don't match FAST's updates that often.

In the past few days I have been watching my site appear and dissapear in Alltheweb.com's results. All the other sites stayed in the same position.

Today they dropped my out of their index altogether. I am not even listed in their partners' sites either. Yet, their partners' sites are still showing the same old old results from FAST.

So....I am wondering if they knock your site out of Alltheweb.com then they must do a partner-wide knock out as well. It's funny why they do this so fast in the partner sites, yet they don't match the results as fast. (am I saying fast too often)? I don't see why they would knock me out. My pages are not spammy or anything.

Question: Does FAST have a fast response time on support issues? Has anyone been knocked out and submitted a request to be re-listed?

FAST is fast in some things but not as fast in other FAST things. So FAST must not be really be fast!

I too dropped from top 5 positions to top 20 positions last month, but on the latest update this week have gone up on a few terms in to the top 10. However, I noticed that my site is listed with a DirectHit description, as do most sites on the famous 'search engine optimisation' phrase (I'm in top 10 at Fast and at #12 on Direct Hit). When did this start to happen?

From two weeks ago, they have been shuffling my site around before dropping it out a few days ago.(couldn't make up their mind on where they wanted to put it maybe?)

Could it be possible that some requested me to be removed?

When they had me listed, my description was the text I had on the actual page, not the meta. Now i'm seeing all the meta descriptions in the results. I haven't received any response from them yet, not even and auto-response. I wrote to both FAST.no and Alltheweb. I asked them a few times before about spider activity and never received anything either.

Could it be possible that some requested me to be removed?

I've just seen my site reappear in FAST's index. I never received a response from them about my site being dropped so I'm not sure what put it back in there.

But here is what I also did...

The first time I was knocked down the rankings list back in late Dec., I went in and changed out a few words in the Title, Description, and Body. Since yesterday, my site is back in their index showing the new text modifications.

Does anyone know if pages need to be updated fairly often to remain in FAST's index? I know it's good to keep pages updated often for all search engines, I'm just wondering if this is a major factor for them.

I came to the conclusion that fresh pages were given a huge boost in their December reshuffle, see the discussionhere [webmasterworld.com] for more details. Since then I haven't really been watching FAST, but my pages are all still at 21, with the old style descriptions even though I changed the pages months ago.
