one of my hosts just stopped offering monthly logs. they'll only do the last 7 days now. I've always worked with the full month, is there an easy way to deal with this? I'd rather not switch hosts, but I'd also rather not have to download logs every 7 days.

We just had the same thing happen. Did it with no warning, too. We're just grabbing them more frequently until we move hosts. The new logs are missing a lot more visits, too, treating more visits as cached I guess. They're crap compared to what we had.

It seems to me your choices are few. You either download or move to another host that keeps the raw logs for longer.

FYIW - I use one host that only keeps the raw logs for 24 hours. I use an automated script that downloads my logs daily. But I also don't keep sites that I absolutely cannot afford to lose stats info on at that host. If I'm down for more than 24 hours - I'd lose my info. But a week - that's plenty of time.
