Strange Traffic Pattern From Webaliser

Just started working with a new client who has their site on a server using Webalser 1.3 for log analysis and reporting. There is an odd pattern in the reports which I can't figure out and a call to the web hosting company proved a total waste of time.

What I'm seeing is that after about 5-8 days of reporting normal traffic (100 plus visits per day), we get a day which shows perhaps 3 or 4 visits. Then a return to normal numbers for 5-8 days followed by another day of just a few visits.... and so the cycle continues. I've been back over several months and the same pattern is very obvious through all the graphs.

Anyone have knowledge of this or able to offer a likely explanation?

Is it just a drop off in traffic on the week-end, Sat and Sunday. My traffic drops to about half on those 2 days.

doc... no, if it was weekends, then the pattern would be uniform which it is not. Also this industry sees good weekend traffic.
