Is CoolStats any good?

My boss wants to buy it but...

I wanted to ask you guys first about this one... Is CoolStats any good? My boss is pushing me to make up my mind between Coolstats, Webtrends and Hitslink... I have already tried webtrends, and my boss liked the fancy colors and stuff, but I didn't like it that much... I know nothing about CoolStats('cept that my boss like colors and stuff), and have olny heard good things about HitsLink(even here!) so...

Anyone? Is webtrends the best? Why? Why not?

gutabo, Coolstats seems to be another remote tracking service but I've found it difficult to get any solid information on its features.

I can only suggest you have a read through this thread [webmasterworld.com] which gives an overview of what packages most people here are using.

A big part of the choice may depend on what you want to know, what specific measurements you need to be able to know that, if you want to integrate email tracking with analytics, if you want tracking to conversion from different sources. Most anything will provide some data that provides a rough picture of what's happening on the site.

If cool colors and fancy reports rule the day then WT or something similar should make the boss happy.

Yeah, but problem is, my boss' hapiness has nothing to do with quality of data...

I need something that can make some fancy stuff yet can tell me if peeps are coming to my site through /file.php?id=i_wanna_buy or through /file.php?id=mall_rat, what their referals are, and so on...

Anyone?
