Free counter that Validates

Can anyone recommend a free counter that validates to HTML 4.01 Transitional?

Were you looking for any specific language. I am sure there are tons out there. I assume you are just talking about the little counter that says "You are the 000 person to view this page" type of thing.

I have never seen a free counter that validates. But all the ones I have used could be made to validate with a few tweaks (ignoring the dire warnigs against altering their precious code).

Often it's as simple as replacing "&" with "&".
